THE IMPERFECT CAPITALIST

The Imperfect Capitalist © came into being over three decades ago, in the year of Our Lord 199AD in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to working and attending college, I was an antique and vintage dealer selling at the Edmondson Drive-In Flea Market on Sundays from Easter through Thanksgiving from 1982 – 1996, when the owners of the drive-in (two brothers) sold the property to The Home Depot. People came from up and down the East Coast to sell at “The Edmondson”: such was its renown.

There I met John Waters (who bought many costume and set items for his films from me), Whoopi Goldburg (who was nasty when I would not sell her the Beverley Feldman Matisse boots I was wearing), and more angels and demons than I can recount. I sold at the Edmondson Drive-in Theater Flea Market, the annual Fells Point (where I met Frank Zappa) Festival, Highlandtown Festival and the SOWEBO (Southwest Baltimore) festivals, at Washington D.C. markets and countless venues because the Baltimore County court system failed to enforce the child support order as their father hid across state lines and I was raising our two children – conceived in legal marriage – alone, with no help of any kind.

My children Emily and Max often ‘worked’ along side me at the flea market and festivals. Emily especially enjoyed face painting, producing beautiful cat faces and butterflies, working with the most serious expression on her face. Max was a natural at inviting people in and showing them items. While other parents where working office jobs and mini-vanning their children to sports games, mine had the alternative upbringing of being Imperfect Capitalists. To this day they are each creative entrepreneurs living successful lives independent of ‘Corporatocracy’.

Also, I was good at it; I had an inborn sense of the value of a thing, and compassion for people. It gave me joy to unite someone with a treasure they had been seeking at a price they could afford.

That’s how the name “The Imperfect Capitalist” was incepted: one day I sold a man something for far less than he thought he should have been asked to pay. He said to me: “You could have asked me ten times that much, and it would have been a good price! Why didn’t you?” I replied: “If I paid ten cents for something worth a thousand dollars and ask for ten dollars, isn’t that enough? I’ve profited, so why be greedy? Now you can profit, too, and we all succeed!” And he said “You’re the Imperfect Capitalist!”, and the dealers around me in the spots next to mine heard this, and it became my identity, my title when being greeted, or when introduced to others (markets are very social).

I will always be an imperfect capitalist. Who would want to excel at such a thing? Look at what the self-entitled ‘globalists’ are doing to us; the same cast of characters and ply of dirty trade. No thanks.

After the Edmondson Drive-In closed, in 1999 I joined eBay and was a Powerseller as well as one of the first to be invited to be a consigner for others, and sold there with 100% Feedback from until 2018, only leaving their platform because it was operated by AI, and Artificial Intelligence is anti-human. My last eBay sale is described here, for those who are curious. Buyers can have confidence because of my long track record of exceeding customer expectations, providing an excellent experience in every way. Being good is all that matters.

Since I refuse to use upload my soul with smart devices, 2-step authorizations and SUBMIT that I AM HUMAN, and with the NOAHIDE, NDAA, my ex-husband who never ceases hacking me and the MK Ultra goons and their surveillance state breathing down my neck, I am selling HERE, on The Imperfect Capitalist page of https://elocutrix.com – that is if I ever sell anything again – and to buy from me, payment is through STRIPE or PayPal. All sales are shipped via with tracking.

What you will find here varies: Organite ELF shielding pieces, rare and/or banned books, spiritual items, CDs and DVDs, natural fiber classic (Holy) clothing, Pine Needle tea with full instructions, homemade LIGHT FOOD such as Structured Kombucha, probiotic ferments, my own themed recipe and protocol booklets (handmade printed – think ‘zines) and things you need but can’t find in consumer retail stores. Prices reflect competitive fair market value. I learned years ago to not participate in ‘Jewing’ something up or down*. Fair is fair and the only way to operate.
*That euphemism is no accident.
